I loved your main character's pride in Texas (heck, if it's in Texas, it's GOT to be the biggest!), and he and his friend's misguided belief that a Comanche heritage would protect them from everything. <br /><br />The writing was smooth and believable. This sounds like a gentle, old-fashioned story, true to its period. I'd love to see more of it.
